On the morning of Saturday, November 6, there was a severe fire in one of our multi-family buildings at Nyhemsgatan 46. All tenants have now returned to their apartments, except for the four families who are evacuated with temporary housing provided by KFAB. No one was injured in the fire.
The fire-damaged apartments are cordoned off and the Police have initiated a preliminary investigation regarding arson. At present, a technical investigation is being conducted on site. As soon as the Police lift the cordons, KFAB can begin cleaning and renovating the affected apartments.
If as a tenant you have been affected by the fire, for example, smoke odor in clothes and furniture, we ask you to contact your insurance company for your home insurance. It is always your own home insurance that applies in such cases.
