Consideration – you share walls, floors, and ceilings with your neighbors
Of course, you and your family should be able to live a normal life in the apartment without fear of being considered a disturbance. But keep in mind that you share walls, ceilings, and floors with your neighbors. Between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM, it is important to be extra considerate and not play music loudly or have the TV at maximum volume. Most people sleep during this time and need peace and quiet, but there are also those who work at night and sleep during the day, so avoid overly disturbing noises even during the day.
Stairwell
It may be tempting to leave the stroller or a bicycle outside the apartment door or in the entrance hall, but don’t do it! In the event of an accident, fire, or acute illness, a clutter-free stairwell can be the difference between life and death. Paramedics need to access with a stretcher without obstacles and if a fire starts, it can spread to the items, preventing you and your neighbors from escaping the burning building. Additionally, items in the stairwell hinder firefighters’ efforts to extinguish the fire.
Non-smoking
From July 1, 2019, smoking is prohibited in certain public outdoor places, such as playgrounds and entrances to premises accessible to the public.
Keep in mind that smoking is prohibited in all common areas such as entrances, stairwells, elevators, laundry rooms, attics, and bicycle storage. Also avoid smoking on the balcony.
If you absolutely must smoke on the balcony, remember to be considerate of your neighbors and ensure the smoke does not disturb anyone. It is not allowed to throw cigarette butts from the balcony, as they litter and can cause fires.
Laundry Room
To use the laundry room, you need to book a laundry time. Cancel as soon as possible if you can’t use the time so someone else can wash instead. Some laundry rooms have electronic booking, and the tag must be activated within an hour after the laundry time starts, otherwise your laundry time will be deleted.
Remember that it’s more pleasant to use a clean laundry room. Always make sure to wipe down the machines, clean the detergent compartments, and the dryer’s filter. Finish your laundry session by sweeping and mopping the floors.
Attic/Basement
Do not store items, empty boxes, or bicycles in basement corridors or attic passages. Abandoned items increase the risk of fire and accidents. They also hinder rescue personnel from getting through in case of a fire. It is the tenant’s responsibility to remove all their belongings and trash. If KFAB needs to remove the items, the work will be billed to the responsible tenant.
Förråd
Each apartment has a storage room in the basement or attic. Make sure to keep the storage room locked. You must provide a suitable lock yourself. In some areas, there is the possibility to rent an extra storage room. The Customer Center can inform you where they are available.
Parking Space
Parking spaces are available for rent in most residential areas. In the central area, only rented spaces are available, while some properties in rural areas offer parking spaces at no cost.
Only guests of residents in the building are allowed to park at the visitor spots. Anyone else using the visitor parking risks getting fined.
If you want to know more about available spaces, prices, or other information, contact our Customer Center. During winter, KFAB plows the access roads to the parking spaces. You are responsible for keeping your own space free from snow and ice.
