The landlord KFAB cares about community and well-being through careful maintenance of the properties and focusing on creating a safe and welcoming living environment. Here, tenants Anette Melin, who lives in Pressjärnet, and Ove Broberg, who lives in the neighborhood of Sågen, share their respective experiences of living with KFAB.
KFAB, the largest landlord in Katrineholm, manages over 1,800 apartments and a large number of premises spread across about 80 properties. They strive for every tenant to feel seen and heard. By promoting togetherness and respect, they create homes where every individual can flourish and thrive.
Aulis Mättä-Hallin is a housing consultant at KFAB. His duties include, for example, receiving reports from tenants if they have any form of dissatisfaction such as disturbing neighbors, littering, noise at night, or external environment issues.
“My role is about finding solutions. We create housing for all different groups of people with different circumstances. Our close contact with our tenants is extremely important to us. Sometimes it involves needing to change housing, a payment plan, or support regarding living situations. Our goal is for our tenants to be able to live comfortably,” says Aulis.
Anette Melin lives in Pressjärnet with her two cats. Pressjärnet is a quiet area with plenty of green spaces close to schools, an outdoor pool, and sports and swimming facilities.
“Altogether, I have lived with KFAB for 11 years, moving to the apartment I live in now in January last year. Before that, I stayed briefly with another landlord, but decided to come back after just four months.”
Anette never truly felt at home with the other landlord. This led her to call and inquire about an apartment in the area she now lives and she got lucky.
“I thought it was very nice. I immediately said yes and moved here with my cats. Today I’m very happy. The apartments with KFAB are both very nice and affordable.”
She continues:
“If any problem arises, the landlord always responds quickly!”
In the neighborhood of Sågen, Ove Broberg lives with his wife. Ove has lived in the area for 40 years and in the apartment he is in now since 2005.
“You have to adapt according to how life looks. In the past, we moved from a four-room apartment we had when the kids were small, to a three-room, and now we live in a two-room. It feels just right.”
According to Ove, the experience of living with KFAB has always been positive. After all these years, he can only say good things about the landlord.
“We have never had any problems. They are pleasant when we call and solve situations that arise. The service is great and it is evident that they strive to help out as soon as they can.”
The neighborhood that Ove and his wife live in is dear to their hearts.
“It is a very good area we think. We enjoy living here. I sometimes hear that the area might have something of a bad reputation, but I don’t understand why.”
