Camera Surveillance

As part of offering our tenants a safe and secure living environment, we use surveillance cameras in some of our properties. Camera surveillance is used only when other measures have not helped. If there is no longer a need, the camera is taken down.

In the properties where we have surveillance cameras installed, there are always information signs indicating that we are filming, who is responsible, and contact details for KFAB where you can direct any questions. The signs are placed so that you can see them before entering a monitored property.

We comply with the laws and regulations stated in the Camera Surveillance Act (SFS 2018:1200).
On the website of the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, you can access the Camera Surveillance Act and other information about camera surveillance. More information can be found on the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection’s website, click here.

Recorded material is used solely for the intended purpose and only a few people at KFAB have access to the material. The images are stored for up to 30 days. Upon request, the recorded material may be disclosed to other authorities if they have a legitimate need to access the information (for instance, to the police during a preliminary investigation). We regularly evaluate the need for existing cameras.

You have the right to be informed about when and how your personal data (in this case, images) is processed, and sometimes the right to have it rectified, deleted, or restricted. You also have the right to request information from the data controller about which personal data is being processed about you, a so-called register extract. At KFAB, Katrineholms Fastighets AB, org. no. 556011-0917, Box 7, 641 21 Katrineholm is responsible for processing the personal data. To exercise your rights, you should contact us. The easiest way to do this is by calling 0150-571 00 or sending an email to info@kfab.se.
