When can you move in?
Keep in mind that the moving day is not always the first of the month, but rather depends on how holidays fall. The rental law states that you have access from noon on the first weekday of the month.
Remember to file a change of address!
When you move, you should submit a change of address notification to the Swedish Tax Agency (www.skatteverket.se/flytta) so that you get the right registered address. Make your notification in advance or at the latest one week after moving. The Swedish Tax Agency distributes your new address to many authorities and companies. If you want your mail forwarded, you need to order it from Swedish address change service.
If you live in an apartment, you should be registered at the apartment. The apartment number is part of your address and consists of four digits that show on which floor and where on the floor the apartment is located. You can find the apartment number at the house entrance, on your front door, on your mailbox, or in your contract.
If you are a lodger or renting an apartment secondhand, do not use c/o in your change of address notification. Make sure your name is on the door and the mailbox in the entrance if there is one.
Keys
When you move in, you will receive at least three keys to your apartment. Additional keys can be ordered at a cost. If you lose a key, we must change the lock on the apartment. This cost will be charged to you as a tenant. If applicable, you will also receive keys to the mailbox and tags for access and laundry room. All issued keys and tags must be returned upon moving out. Inspection done – check that everything is in order!
När du flyttar in i din nya lägenhet har vi gjort en besiktning som innebär att alla ytskikt och inredningen är kontrollerad. Du får en kopia på besiktningsprotokollet. Ibland händer det att vi gör besiktningen när den tidigare hyresgästens möbler fortfarande står kvar, därför ber vi dig att alltid göra en egen kontroll av lägenheten innan du flyttar in dina möbler och saker. Om du ser skador eller andra anmärkningar som inte står i besiktningsprotokollet vill vi veta det inom åtta dagar så att vi kan komplettera protokollet. Det är väldigt viktigt eftersom det annars finns risk att du blir ersättningsskyldig för skador som den tidigare hyresgästen orsakat.
Who is responsible for cleaning?
The previous tenant is responsible for ensuring that the entire apartment and storage room is thoroughly cleaned. If you have any comments on the cleaning, please contact us immediately so we can arrange for a cleaning inspection.
Would you like to make additional choices?
You can choose to have items such as a dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, glazed balcony, and security doors for an additional rent fee. You can have the option if we deem it technically and practically possible to install the additional features you desire. Read more here.
Household electricity
Heating and water are usually included in your rent, but you often pay for household electricity separately.
Broadband and telephone
We offer fiber connection in most of our properties, providing you with access to many services. You have a wide range of choice to select a broadband provider that fits your needs.
